Job Description

- Job Title:        Female Pool Lifeguards        

- Department:        Community Services

- Reports To:        Recreations Coordinator

- Summary:        Lifeguards ensure swimmer safety in the swimming pools. In this role, lifeguards enforce safety rules, monitor the water quality, and rescue swimmers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Reception Duties

- Greet and maintain a positive attitude towards the guests

- Ensure that the safety policies, rules, and regulations are maintained within the area

- Provide the new guests orientations on how to use the area

- Ensure the upkeep of the area

- Ensure the safety of children in games room area. Follow all safety procedures

- Ensure the hygiene of the games and toys

- Basic inspection of equipment before shift

- PH Control & Testing

- Light cleaning duties including pool cleaning / scum removal

- Event Support

- Arrange new and exciting activities with the support of the Recreations Coordinator

- Support in the execution of the events

- Communicate guests requirements to Recreational Coordinator

- Co-ordination of Pool activities to recreation services

QUALIFICATIONS

- Multi-lingual skills essential with Arabic considered a distinct benefit

- Computer literacy to be at a high level.

- Recognized first aid trained and certified

- AED Training a distinct advantage

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

- Experience of recreation in a Hotel Environment or equivalent

- Physical Education training / certification mandatory

- Secondary certification / Recognized training certificate in:

- Lifeguard training

- Swimming instruction

- Aqua Aerobic classes

Distinct Advantage to having a second core skill and experience
